A on-screen undo would be awesome. I'm not sure where to find the real estate, but phones are getting bigger, so maybe a user option of 2 or 3 lines. For me, I rarely use the eraser so in my particular case I would choose to sacrifice this on the main menu for Undo if 2 lines are required.
Reason for the feature: when going for time it is easy for me to fat-finger an adjacent square on accident. Correcting that mistake is a huge time suck the way it is now, especially if I accidently overwrite an existing number with the wrong one.
(A layout option of another line would also give the benefit of allowing a 3x3 number grid, which is intuitive to use.)
